Job Purpose:
Act as a key member of the customer's administration function providing advice on Tax related matters with a focus on minimizing Costs and the Tax Liability of The Foundation. Prepare legislative and registration requirement related but not limited to, Withholding Tax, Value Added Tax (VAT) and other State and GCC taxes. Prepare all tax related filings and reports including, Monthly Reporting, VAT and Withholding Tax Returns Fillings with MoF and statutory Tax Audits.
Key Result Areas:

To be the trusted Tax Business Partner and interface with stakeholders, take the lead on key Taxation issues and be part of the decision making process.

Work closely with the Procurement Directorate to ensure that VAT accurately recorded and Withholding Tax deducted from suppliers where applicable.

Prepare monthly and quarterly Consolidated VAT Returns and ensure filling with Qatar Tax Authority before due date.

Prepare monthly Consolidated Withholding Tax Returns and ensure filling with Qatar Tax Authority before due date.

Prepare quarterly and annual Tax Liability forecasts highlighting the impact on Cash Flow and any potential risks.

Prepare Reconciliation of Tax related GL accounts on monthly basis.

Assist in the development and implementation of QF Tax Strategy.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Tax Laws and providing expert knowledge to concerned stakeholders.

Interface with key shared services such as Procurement and Human Capital in order to identify Tax issues, and potential resolutions to drive improvement.

Conduct monthly Tax Liability review meetings as required with the stakeholder. Take the lead on implementation of actions arising from these meetings.

Complete Month end and year-end close in collaboration with the statutory reporting team, including a comprehensive review of Tax accounts including VAT and Withholding Tax.

Prepare Withholding tax returns certificate as requested by end users.

Maintain strict confidentiality of information in accordance with management guidance.

Compile reports and documentation required for tax audits within the operating jurisdiction.

Guide colleagues in finance and procurement directorates to assess the tax implications of specific transactions and tax calculations in the ERP procurement and financial modules.

Ensure the accuracy of VAT payable or refundable to The Foundation.

Perform such other tasks or duties which ma from time to time be assi ned inclusive of but not limited to) acting as stand in for other team members during periods of absence
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

6-8 years of relevant full-time work experience, 2 of which at a supervisory level

Excellent knowledge of Tax Laws and VAT practical applications.

Qualified Accountant CIMA. CA. CPA

Awareness of Qatar and GCC tax laws, rules and regulations.

Experience of encouraging organisation wide best practice through effective communication and relationship building, strengthening the reputation and credibility of the Finance team

Excellent IT skills, in particular ERP, Hyperion, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
