Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited commenced operations in June 2004. Since then, nearly all of the Deloitte Tax LLP (“Deloitte Tax”) U.S. service lines and regions have obtained support through Deloitte Tax in India. Deloitte Tax in India offers you opportunities to learn and support practice U.S. taxation, a much sought-after career option. In recent years, member firms, such as Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, etc. have obtained support in their tax related practice through the Deloitte Tax in India.

Work you’ll do

We are a fast-growing department within Deloitte Tax, specialized in taxes around cross-border labor. This may seem like a niche market, but employment income taxes are the largest source of income for our state budget. It is an area that everyone, including private individuals, comes into contact with and that therefore appeals to everyone.

Key responsibilities:

• German Tax Compliance work for individual taxpayers which may involve returns of low/ varying complexity and connected services such as tax office inquiries and tax briefings
• Monitoring of client information, including client work status and client contact details
• Managing the set-up and coordination of the compliance process
• Identification and documentation of issues and preparation of client queries
• Extensive communication with the team regarding client status and providing feedback on client progress
• Responding to technical queries by the clients
• Managing and updating trackers and status reports for internal and external purpose
  
  

The Team

The Tax practice is comprised of professionals who perform different income tax compliance processes including: Preparation of income personal income tax returns, review of tax assessments resulting thereof, dealing with tax authorities’ inquiries as well as questions from the global assignees themselves, tax briefings with global assignees, performing tax calculations in accordance to an employer’s policy. You will work with tax professionals in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, the onshore teams in Germany and other member firms in the global network to assist with these services with exceptional customer service. Comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with the necessary functional and technical skills

Qualification and Experience Required:

• Full time Bachelor’s (BCom) / MBA or equivalent from reputed University with minimum of 60% and above or equivalent CGPA
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills at the business and technical level
• Familiarity with DATEV if preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products — Excel, Word, etc.
• Ability to multi-task various client responsibilities through prioritization of activities
• Capability of handling high work pressure during busy season
• Ability to integrate rapidly with existing team
• Solid analytical aptitude and problem solving skills
• Good personal organizational skills and commitment to customer service
• Strong accounting knowledge
• Critical thinking and analytical skills
• Aptitude for learning technology

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM IST
