Role Summary
We are seeking an
Assistant Tax & Financial Control Manager
to support tax compliance and financial control activities for our operations in Liberia. The role works closely with site teams and the Istanbul head office, covering
local tax obligations

month-end close
,
balance sheet reviews
,
internal controls & audit readiness
, and
documentation discipline
.
Key Responsibilities
-
Tax Compliance:
Support timely and accurate filings/payments in line with Liberian regulations for
Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax (WHT), GST, payroll taxes, and NASSCORP
-
Authority Liaison:
Manage correspondence with
LRA (Liberia Revenue Authority)
and related institutions; coordinate tax reviews and queries with external advisors

Financial Control:
Assist monthly/quarterly closing; perform
balance-sheet account reconciliations
incl.
fixed assets, inventory, provisions

Reporting:
Prepare data for management reporting; contribute to
Budget vs Actual (BvA)
analyses

Internal Control & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to policies/procedures; prepare audit evidence and maintain audit-ready documentation

ERP & Process Improvement:
Follow correct coding/flows in ERP (SAP/Dynamics/Oracle, etc.); support process enhancements and automation

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with site Finance, Procurement/Warehouse, HR, and Operations; provide guidance and training when needed
Must-Have Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in
Finance, Accounting, Economics
, or a related field

4–6 years
of experience in
tax, audit, or financial control
(preferably in international/industrial site environments)

Solid knowledge of tax filings, account reconciliations, closing cycles, and internal control practices

Advanced
Excel
and hands-on
ERP
experience (SAP / Microsoft Dynamics / Oracle, etc.)

Fluent English
(written and spoken)

Ability to work on a
66/18 rotation
and thrive in multicultural, site-based settings
Preferred Qualifications

Field experience in
mining, energy, construction
, or other heavy-industry projects

English & French
working proficiency

Big Four or multinational company background

Tax/compliance exposure in African jurisdictions

Experience in process improvement, automation, and
internal audit
