We are seeking an experienced
Local Tax Manager
to oversee all tax-related matters for our operations in Turkey. The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with Turkish tax regulations, lead tax planning initiatives, and serve as the key point of contact for external audits and cross-border tax coordination. This role requires a proactive professional with deep expertise in Turkish tax law and strong cross-cultural communication skills.
Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance and Reporting

Manage all tax filings (VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax, stamp duty, etc.) accurately and timely, in alignment with the latest Turkish tax laws.

Monitor changes in local tax policies and provide timely compliance recommendations to management.

External Audit and Tax Inspection

Act as the primary liaison for external audits, annual financial audits, and tax authority inspections.

Address tax disputes, audits, and inquiries, developing effective strategies to resolve issues efficiently.

Tax Planning and Risk Management

Provide tax optimization strategies for local and cross-border business activities.

Identify potential tax risks and establish internal control processes to mitigate exposures.

Internal Collaboration

Work closely with finance teams in China and other international offices to ensure aligned and compliant handling of cross-border tax matters.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, SMMM) are preferred.

Minimum 5 years of tax-specific experience in Turkey, with exposure to multinational corporations or large accounting firms.

Fluency in Turkish and English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.

Technical Skills:

In-depth knowledge of Turkish tax law, IFRS, and local accounting standards.

Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and strong project management capabilities.

High integrity, ability to work under pressure, and excellent strategic problem-solving skills. Experience in multicultural environments is essential.
