Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform high level reviews of tax research of individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift work papers and tax returns, as well prepare and lead client meetings on compliance and consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities and the tax implications of transactions to the client. Additionally, you will train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors; you will begin taking on lead client-contact roles, and billing and profitability analysis, on engagements; and you will begin to be involved in marketplace eminence building and pursuits.


We are looking for Tax Senior Manager for US process. Should be able to work in the EST/PST timing. 5 days work from office.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee complex federal tax compliance for individuals, corporations (S-Corp and S-Corp), partnerships and consulting projects requiring tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates


• Analyze complex tax issues, identify risks, and develop strategic recommendations for clients.


  • Oversee the accurate and timely preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations.


• Lead, supervise, and review the work of tax staff and senior associates to maintain high-quality standards and accuracy in all deliverables.


  • Provide technical guidance on tax matters and offer constructive feedback to support staff development and efficiency.

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, fostering strong relationships on various federal tax consulting/compliance engagements, delivering consistent, high-quality service.

  • Advise clients on a wide range of tax matters, including accounting for income taxes, tax provisions, compliance, business restructuring, and tax controversy, while developing strategic tax planning approaches that identify opportunities to optimize their tax positions and mitigate compliance risks

  • Manage client expectations through proactive communication and year-round support.

  • Allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines, optimize workflow, and support team productivity.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to monitor workload, assign projects, and ensure staff are adequately supported.

  • Coordinate with the audit and accounting services departments to deliver integrated, firmwide solutions to clients.


• Lead by example, promoting professionalism, teamwork, and a positive, collaborative work environment.


  • Provide leadership, counseling, and career guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement team.

  • Support in the strengthening of the firms marketplace presence by contributing to thought leadership, representing the firm at industry events, and supporting business development efforts through prospect engagement and proposal participation.


Requirements

Required:
  • 8+ years of public accounting experience
  • One of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain: o Certified Public Accountant (CPA) o Licensed attorney
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
  • Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax laws.
  • Experience with tax provisions (ASC 740) and tax planning strategies.
  • Experience managing projects including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing
  • Leadership, strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Excellent research and writing skills
