Tax Preparer

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and tax preparation, with the ability to analyze financial data and provide exceptional customer service. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid understanding of financial concepts to assist clients with their tax needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file individual and corporate tax returns accurately and timely.
• Analyze financial data to identify potential tax deductions and credits for clients.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage to manage client accounts effectively.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding their tax situations.
• Assist clients with bookkeeping and financial analysis as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance marketing strategies for attracting new clients.
• Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements for accuracy before submission.
• Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry during the preparation process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or corporate accounting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software tools.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong math skills for accurate calculations related to tax preparation.
• Previous experience in financial sales or marketing is a plus.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building client relationships.
