Responsibilities

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and small business clients with precision and attention to detail
• Review financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and expense reports to gather necessary data for tax filing
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or other financial tools to organize client information efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining tax procedures, answering questions, and offering strategic advice on deductions and credits
• Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize client benefits
• Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and reconciliation using various accounting platforms
• Support marketing efforts by promoting tax services to potential clients through community outreach or digital channels

Requirements

• Proven experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or related financial roles with a strong understanding of tax concepts
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar tools; familiarity with financial software is highly desirable
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, corporate accounting practices, and bookkeeping procedures
• Strong analysis skills combined with mathematical aptitude to interpret financial data accurately
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally
• Ability to perform 10 key typing quickly and accurately for data entry tasks
• Background in sales or marketing is a plus for promoting services effectively
• Technical accounting skills and familiarity with financial sales strategies enhance your ability to serve clients effectively
