Huawei Pakistan is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Specialist with strong expertise in tax compliance and reporting . The role involves ensuring full compliance with Pakistan’s direct and indirect tax regulations, managing audits, timely filing of tax returns, and maintaining statutory documentation. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in tax audits, ERP systems, and regulatory dealings, along with strong analytical and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities


Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of sales tax, withholding tax, and other returns.
  • Perform reconciliations for monthly and quarterly tax returns.
  • Maintain complete and compliant tax documentation as per Huawei and regulatory requirements.

Audit & Regulatory Management

  • Manage tax audits, assessments, and queries from FBR, PRA, SRB, and other authorities.
  • Liaise with external auditors and consultants to ensure smooth audits and inspections.
  • Represent the company in discussions with tax authorities and resolve compliance issues.

Withholding & Indirect Taxes

  • Oversee withholding tax deductions, deposits, and reporting.
  • Manage indirect tax compliance, including sales tax, federal excise, and provincial levies.
  • Review vendor and customer tax compliance for accuracy.

Training & Internal Controls

  • Train finance team members on tax processes and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate tax risks.
  • Ensure compliance with Huawei’s internal tax policies and reporting standards.


Required Qualifications

  • CA, ACCA, CPA, or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • 5–7 years of professional experience in taxation, with at least 3 years focused on tax compliance.
  • Prior experience in a multinational company or Big 4 audit/tax firm preferred.


Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Pakistan’s tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with e-filing portals and ERP systems.
  • Strong MS Excel and financial reporting skills.


Soft Skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
