Act as the primary point of contact for tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities. Prepare and submit all necessary documentation and responses to successfully resolve audits.
Supervise, train, and mentor junior tax accountants and staff, providing technical guidance and fostering a high-performance team environment.
Conduct thorough tax research and analysis on complex tax issues, staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation to advise management on their implications.
Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to analyze financial data for tax implications, ensuring tax provisions are accurately reflected in financial reports.
Identify and mitigate potential tax risks, implementing robust internal controls and processes to ensure the integrity of all tax-related operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
+5 years of progressive experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or a related field.
CPA certification is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
Proficiency with tax preparation software and financial management systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
