Taxation Specialist

The Taxation Specialist will be responsible for managing all tax-related activities of the company, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations, timely filing of tax returns, and providing strategic advice on tax planning to optimize the company’s financial performance.The role will focus on managing direct and indirect taxes including sales tax on goods, income tax, withholding tax, and excise duties relevant to the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit monthly/annual sales tax, income tax, and withholding tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local tax regulations applicable to manufacturing entities.
• Maintain updated tax records, reconciliations, and documentation for audit purposes.
• Manage corporate income tax filings, advance tax payments, and quarterly/yearly adjustments.
• Ensure correct application of tax exemptions, refunds, and rebates (if applicable).
• Handle withholding tax deductions on suppliers, contractors, and employee-related payments.
• Liaise with tax authorities on assessments, audits, and notices.
• Advise management on tax-efficient strategies for procurement, production, and distribution.
• Monitor tax law changes and assess their impact on manufacturing operations.
• Recommend process improvements to optimize tax costs and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and assessments.
• Prepare tax provisions and deferred tax calculations for financial statements.
• Provide periodic tax reports to management for decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Commerce.
• Professional certification (CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA – fully or partly qualified) preferred.
• 4–6 years of taxation experience, with at least 2–3 years in a manufacturing company.
• Experience in handling tax audits, assessments, and appeals specific to manufacturing.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.

Pay: Rs30,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
