The Taxation Specialist at Nawy Real Estate plays a crucial role in managing tax compliance and planning activities. This position requires a strong understanding of tax regulations and the ability to analyze financial data to ensure the company's compliance with tax laws while identifying opportunities for tax savings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure accurate and timely filings.
  • Conduct tax research to keep abreast of current tax regulations and interpret their implications for the company.
  • Assist in the development of tax-saving strategies and provide recommendations to the management team.
  • Maintain tax documents and records for audit purposes and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support the finance team in accounting for income taxes, including preparation of tax provisions.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and authorities as necessary.
  • Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and assist in the resolution of tax-related issues.
  • Provide training and support to staff on tax-related matters as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate changing tax laws to ensure compliance and assess impact on the organization.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in tax compliance or tax accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations affecting real estate.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
