Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and possess the skills necessary to create a nurturing and effective learning environment. This role involves educating young children, ages 8 weeks to 5 years. The candidate must be able to manage classroom dynamics, and implement engaging lesson plans that foster the nurturing principals of early childhood education.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Utilize various teaching methods, including Montessori and early intervention strategies, to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support student development.
- Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children in childcare or educational settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education practices and early intervention techniques is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
- Familiarity with literacy education strategies and resources.
- EDU 119 is required or current enrollment in EDU 119
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their development.
