Teacher 2nd - 5th Grade

Duties

  • Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, and social studies
  • Utilize learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques
  • Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing, formative assessments, and informal evaluations to tailor instruction accordingly
  • Provide tutoring and additional support to students who need extra help in areas such as literacy education, math, or special education needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support early childhood education initiatives and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Incorporate library services and resources to enrich lessons and promote independent learning skills
  • Mentor new teachers or interns, sharing best practices in classroom management, curriculum development, and working with children with autism or other special needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced certifications preferred
  • Valid teaching license or certification for elementary education (2nd - 5th grade)
  • Proven classroom experience with children in elementary grades; private school experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and staff
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing procedures
  • Familiarity with working with children with diverse needs including special education or autism spectrum disorder
  • Proficiency in using learning technology tools and digital resources for instruction
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities including childcare duties and extracurricular activities

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
