Part-time After-School Teacher (24 hrs/wk M-F) for the 2025-2026 School Year

What does a Teacher do?

As a Teacher you play a formative role in the social educational development of the students. You will work with a specific age group who love the flexibility of how they choose to spend their afternoons and the quality of the care they receive. Each day, you will:

· Greet children arriving at the program, and serve nutritious snacks;

· Facilitate children’s learning experiences and/ activities;

· Provide structure and support for homework and literacy; and

· Maintain collaborative and professional relationships with students and parents, focusing on each child’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.

What kinds of experience and skills do Teachers need?

· Experience working closely with school-age children in a childcare, school, or camp setting

· Enthusiasm for teaching and the ability to keep children engaged in learning

· Willingness to learn and implement new classroom strategies to manage behaviors

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work in close partnership with members of your team

· Ability to pass CORI/SORI checks

· A statement of health from a physician

· Positive references from past employers/teachers

What your work schedule will be through June 2026:

Mondays: 2:00-6 pm

Tuesdays: 2:00-6 pm

Wednesdays: 10 am-6pm

Thursdays: 2:00-6 pm (There are 4 Thursdays, 12/4/25, 2/5/26, 3/19/26, 5/7/26 with 10 am-6 pm shifts during the year)

Fridays: 2:00-6 pm
