Job Overview:
The Teacher Assistant at Doha Academy supports the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality educational experiences for students. This role involves assisting with lesson delivery, classroom management, and providing individual or small group support to students, particularly those who may need extra help with their learning. The Teacher Assistant will collaborate closely with the teacher to ensure a productive, safe, and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support:
- Assist the teacher in preparing and organizing instructional materials.
- Support teachers with lesson delivery, working with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning.
- Help manage classroom behavior and assist in maintaining a positive, respectful learning environment.
- Supervise students during class activities, lunch breaks, and other school events.
- Student Support:
- Provide one-on-one support for students with special educational needs or those requiring additional help.
- Assist in the assessment of students’ progress and provide feedback to the teacher regarding student development.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging environment to build students' confidence and motivation.
- Administrative Duties:
- Assist in taking attendance, recording grades, and organizing student files and records.
- Help with setting up and maintaining classroom displays and learning materials.
- Communication:
- Work closely with the lead teacher to identify and implement effective learning strategies.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress when required.
- Other Duties:
- Assist in organizing and overseeing extracurricular activities and school events.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Carry out other duties as directed by the head of department or lead teacher.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant or working with children is preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding of student needs.
- Ability to assist students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written). Additional languages are a plus.

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR3,200.00 per month
