Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a love of learning in children, while ensuring their developmental needs are met through attentive caregiving and classroom support. Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing daily activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Support children with their individual needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements
  • Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety at all times
  • Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration
  • Provide basic first aid and respond appropriately to minor injuries or emergencies
  • Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions among children
  • Communicate effectively with parents and team members to ensure consistent care and support for each child

Skills

  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early education best practices
  • Experience working with children in preschool, daycare, or babysitting settings
  • Knowledge of special education needs and working with individuals with disabilities
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and professionalism
  • Childcare certification including first aid and CPR preferred
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and caregivers
  • Compassionate caregiving skills for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children
