Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment for young children. Your energy and compassion will help foster children's development across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical domains. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of children in preschool, daycare, or early childhood education settings, ensuring each child receives personalized care and attention. This position would be working 11:00 am-6:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Duties

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
  • Support children during classroom activities, playtime, and rest periods with patience and encouragement
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration
  • Provide attentive supervision during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care as needed
  • Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic childcare routines for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and discipline when necessary
  • Support classroom management by helping with attendance tracking, material preparation, and record-keeping

Skills

  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early education best practices
  • Experience working with children in preschool, daycare, or nannying environments
  • Knowledge of special education needs and working effectively with individuals with disabilities
  • First aid certification and knowledge of child safety protocols
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and children
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement techniques
  • Experience in infant care, toddler care, or caregiving roles such as babysitting or nannying is highly valued
  • Familiarity with classroom management tools and early childhood education curricula
  • Compassionate caregiver with a proactive attitude toward child wellbeing and development
