Teacher - Computer Science/ICT - Aldar Education - AY26/27

Overview

Aldar Education are currently seeking Teacher - Computer Science to support our growing family of schools, joining at the start of the 2026/2027 academic year in August. Responsibilities

Key Task: To deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.

  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Communicate effectively at all levels
  • Develop positive relationships with all members of the school community
  • Plan engaging lessons with fellow teachers that meet curriculum requirements
  • Collaborate with colleagues and adapt to flexible working
  • Work with parents to support happiness and best academic outcomes
  • Collaborate with curriculum support staff (where applicable) to support children's development
Teaching and learning
  • Clear understanding of the Curriculum
  • Organise classroom provision and learning resources, create displays to encourage a positive learning environment
  • Plan, prepare and present sessions for the whole ability range
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching
  • Observe and assess children in line with school assessments
  • Reflect on provision and adjust environment, planning and curriculum accordingly
  • Coordinate with other professionals (e.g., speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists) if required
  • Embed the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum
Assessment and data
  • Take responsibility for the progress of a class
  • Meet requirements for assessment and recording of student development using Target Tracker
  • Use assessment data to inform planning, provision, and intervention
  • Provide feedback to parents and carers at Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings
Behaviour management and duties
  • Follow the school's behaviour policy
  • Manage classes effectively to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  • Maintain good relationships with pupils, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively within policy
  • Be a positive role model with the attitudes and behaviour expected of pupils
  • Have high expectations of behaviour, promoting self-control and independence
  • Carry out duties as directed within the school's policy
Wider professional responsibilities
  • Work as part of a curriculum action group, supporting planning, assessment, resources and events
  • Support organising and participating in school events, outings and activities that may take place at weekends or evenings
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding student achievements and wellbeing using school systems such as CPOMS
  • Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school
  • Run a weekly extracurricular activity (ECA) each term
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification

Minimum Experience: 1-2 years teaching experience

  • Positive, solution-focused attitude to working life
  • Clean enhanced DBS check or police clearance
