Teacher HS - Credit Recovery APEX (Effective 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR)

***This is a remote position for the self-scheduled program that utilizes the APEX Learning system. Position is funded at .8 FTE. ***

SUMMARY
Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity.
Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Arizona Secondary Certificate
Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Effective: 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: Tucson Unified Virtual Academy - Online

FTE: .8 FTE – 6 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.
