Job Description

Title: Teacher

Reporting to: Head Teacher

Duty Station: Mianwali

Job Summary

The incumbent of this position will be responsible for creating lesson plans, course content/curricula and deliver sessions, teach class of students – morning and evening. He / She will ensure that students learn proper grammar, writing, and reading comprehension, create lesson plans for students, grade students essay and tests etc.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Compose lesson plans in order to successfully incorporate the full duration of each lesson.
  • Is responsible for imparting knowledge and facilitating learning experiences for students.
  • Answering students/target beneficiaries’ questions, grading student tests and essays, tracking student progress, and teaching students.
  • Delivering curriculum content, developing lesson plans, and aligning teaching strategies with educational standards.
  • Create a positive and conducive learning environment by managing classroom dynamics, fostering student engagement, and addressing behavioral issues.
  • Set home work to consolidate and extend student knowledge and understanding.
  • Communicate to the parents of target beneficiaries/students.
  • Write progress reports for students.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students
  • Assign books for target beneficiaries/students to read.
  • Engage students to ensure a lively classroom atmosphere.
  • Evaluating students’ class work and assignments.
  • Preparing classroom and coursework materials, homework assignments, and handouts.
  • Monitoring students’ progress, providing feedback, and maintaining records of attendance, grades, discipline issues, and other information.
  • Evaluating students on their knowledge of various topics, such as grammar, usage, spelling, punctuation, essay structure, or vocabulary
  • Conducting classroom activities such as lecturing, demonstrating, or administering tests and quizzes
  • Maintaining discipline in the classroom by enforcing rules or disciplinary actions as necessary
  • Expectations for curriculum development and lesson planning.
  • Compliance with educational standards and guidelines.
  • Responsibilities related to student assessment and grading.
  • Participation in parent-teacher conferences or meetings.
  • Collaboration with other teachers and staff on assessment strategies.
  • Any other duty assigned by the supervisors.
