Job Description
Position Title: Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
Position Type: Salaried $55,050.00 / Exempt; Funded with State Compensatory Education Funds. ***(This position is contingent upon annual grant funding from the ESEA, Title I, Part A Improving Basic Programs Fund 285.)
Position Hours: Full-time; Monday Friday
Reports to: Campus Principal
Length of Term/Employment: 190 workdays / At-will
Position Mission: Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Position Minimum Qualifications:
• Must possess 2+ experience with early childhood education and service. • Demonstrate competency in their core academic subject area.
Job Duties:
Instructional Strategies:
• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of school curriculum program and show written evidence of preparation as required. • Prepare emergency lesson plan folder to cover 2 days of material. • Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
• Participate in extended day and weekend school tutoring as required. • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Student Growth and Development:
• Teach students to work toward self-discipline and responsibility. • Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
• Be a positive role model for students, support mission of school. • Ensure good student discipline by being regular in attendance and on time.
Classroom Management and Organization:

o A lesson agenda, which models task organization and time management skills and insures total time planning in the classroom.

• Actively participates in two school committees and will chair one committee. • Keeps Jubilee Academies School Assistant Director informed of maintenance problems.
• Actively supports and participates in fundraising activities of Jubilee Academies. • Compile, maintain, and fill all reports, records, and other documents required. • Actively stays abreast of new developments in education.

• Promote fairness of students and staff from all cultural backgrounds. • Communicate with students and staff in an effective manner that promotes and sustains the Jubilee culture.
Working Conditions:
o Frequent and prolonged standing.
o Stooping, bending, pulling and pushing required.
o Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment and supplies.
