Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to diverse learning needs, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and childhood development principles.
- Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities, play-based learning, and standardized testing preparation when appropriate.
- Work closely with children to support early intervention strategies, special education needs, and child welfare initiatives.
- Manage classroom activities efficiently to ensure smooth classroom management and effective time utilization.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to monitor student progress, provide tutoring support, and communicate developmental milestones.
- Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral observations in compliance with childcare and preschool standards.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education best practices.
- Proven experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development across preschool or daycare settings.
- Expertise in working with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers, with an emphasis on early intervention and special education.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods, standardized testing procedures, and literacy education strategies.
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques that foster a positive learning environment.
- Experience in childcare settings such as daycare or private schools with a focus on child welfare and classroom experience.
