Job: Job: Teaching Artist-Acting Coach for 5-week teen Shakespeare performing camp in Winters, CA

Acting Coach works with our professional director, and music director to run a 5 week outdoor acting camp for teens that culminates in two complete public performances of The Comedy of Errors with music on the beautiful Winters Park Playground Stage.

Two Teaching Artists work as a team, with our director, to plan and coordinate teens' performing skills instruction and practice during camp. Teaching artists schedule a regular time weekly, to meet and plan activities

Skills and experience required include:

  • Playful spirit, high energy, and strong leadership skills
  • Experience teaching and motivating young performers
  • Experience with vocal work, Shakespearean language
  • Experience with performing skills: physical comedy, stage combat, movement
  • Previous experience in youth theater/dance/music, youth performing camps
  • Teaching Artist/Acting Coach stipend is up to $1,500-2,500.00/five-week session, based on experience.
  • Teaching artists will be finger printed by Yolo County Library, and must have proof of recent negative TB test

Workshop dates: June 14- July 19- Workshop hours: 6:30-9:30 pm, Sun.-Thurs. in Winters,
Performance weekend, Fri. and Sat., July 16, 17 &18.
Teaching Artist/AC's attend all Production Meetings: Sundays at 5PM.

Winters Shakespeare Workshop is a summer youth enrichment program of the Winters Friends of the Library in Winters, CA, now in our 24th season.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $28.09 - $32.54 per hour
