Teaching Assistant

o Assist in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in architecture and related disciplines.
o Support faculty in preparing lectures, materials, and assessments.
o Supervise and mentor students in projects, studio work, and research activities.
o Assist in program and curriculum development, NAAB accreditation processes, and academic quality assurance.
o Participate in departmental and college committees, events, and outreach activities.
o Engage in professional development and maintain familiarity with emerging trends in architecture and education.

Qualifications
Department Requirements:

1- Education Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field from a NAAB-accredited program.

2-Experience Requirements:
  • Academic achievement: Strong academic record with excellence in architecture-related coursework and research; prior experience in teaching support, tutoring, or research assistance is required.
  • Practical/project experience: Demonstrated capability in architecture projects, including design development, studio-based practice, and professional architectural work is required.

3- Skills and Competencies:
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to mentor and guide students in academic and practical tasks.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in architectural software and professional studio workflows.
  • Skilled in architectural software and experienced in studio practices.

University Requirements:

1-
Academic Qualification:
The Candidate holds a bachelor's and master's degrees in a field related to the job from a university recognized and accredited by Qatar University.

2-
Master Details:
Providing evidence of Master transcript or letter from university registrar office:
  • The program from which the candidate obtained their degree is a full-time study program.
  • Details include program length, start and end dates, specialization, mode, etc..

3-
Minimum GPA Requirement:
Achieving, within the program from which the candidate obtained his/her degree, a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.5 out of 4 or its equivalent according to Qatar University standards.

4-
Experience:
Minimum of two years of university-level teaching experience after obtaining the Master’s degree.

5-
English Proficiency:
The Candidate demonstrates proficiency in the language and technical skills required for the position

6-
Personal interview:
Candidate has successfully passed the personal interview
