Role Overview
As a Teaching Assistant you will provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Your primary goal is to assist students with disabilities in achieving their individualized learning objectives while ensuring their physical and emotional well-being within the classroom.
Responsibilities
Assist in the delivery of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by adapting classroom materials and activities to meet each student's specific needs.
Implement positive behavioral intervention strategies to manage classroom dynamics and support students with emotional or behavioral challenges.
Provide hands-on assistance to students with mobility or self-care needs
Organize and prepare specialized sensory tools, visual aids, and tactile learning materials before each session.
Observe student performance and maintain detailed logs of their social and academic progress to share during parent teacher meeting or multi disciplinary team meetings.
Work closely with the Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy fellows to ensure that therapeutic goals are integrated into the student’s daily classroom routine.
Requirements
Graduation with a B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education).
Minimum 02 years of teaching experience specifically within a Special Education setting.
Age Limit: 24–35 years.
Patience, empathy, and a high level of emotional resilience.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a high energy environment.
Basic knowledge of sign language or alternative communication is a plus.
