Teaching Assistant - Wichita - NE Site

ORION Education and Training has an opening for a full-time Teaching Assistant in Wichita, Kansas at our Diploma Completion & Learning Center. Orion Northeast Wichita works in cooperation with local school districts to give eligible high school students an opportunity to earn credits necessary to meet graduation requirements and obtain a high school diploma.

This position would involve providing educational support to our program instructors and students.

Responsibilities:

 Assisting the classroom instructor by monitoring and documenting student progress

 Assisting with Assignment completion - tutoring  Assisting classroom instructor with classroom management

 Assisting with monitoring students during break times

Minimum Qualifications:

 Education: High School diploma plus two years of post-secondary training

 Experience: Working with non-traditional, at-risk learners and online environments

 Technology Skills: G Suite applications, digital literacy, file management, LMS operation

 Other Skills: Communication, organization, self-regulation, problem solving, creative and independent thinking  Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

Job Type: Full-time
