About the Role:

As a Team Lead in the supply chain industry, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding a team of employees to ensure efficient and high-quality supply chain operations processes. Your leadership will directly impact the productivity, safety, and morale of your team, contributing to the overall success of the supply chain operations. You will be responsible for coordinating daily activities, managing workflow, and resolving any operational issues that arise to maintain smooth production cycles. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional departments, leadership and supply chain to optimize processes and meet production targets. Your role is essential in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety compliance, and teamwork within the supply chain environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 1 year in a team lead or leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with production tracking software and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in safety management or team leadership.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced production planning tools.
  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of manufacturing operators to achieve daily production goals while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor production schedules and workflow to ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders.
  • Identify and address operational challenges, providing solutions to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, safety protocols, and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and maintenance teams to uphold product standards and equipment reliability.
  • Train and mentor team members to develop their skills and promote professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the production area.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports, documenting team performance and operational metrics.

Skills:

The required and preferred skills are utilized daily to ensure the supply chain team operates efficiently and safely. Leadership and communication skills are essential for motivating the team, resolving conflicts, and conveying production goals clearly. Technical knowledge of supply chain processes and quality standards enables the Team Lead to identify issues quickly and implement corrective actions. Proficiency with production software and data analysis tools supports accurate tracking of performance metrics and informed decision-making. Additionally, skills in continuous improvement methodologies help the Team Lead to foster innovation and optimize workflows, contributing to the overall operational excellence of the supply chain facility.
