Job description:
ebs.ae is a Chartered Accountancy and outsourced financial services firm based in Dubai, UAE. It provides accounting, bookkeeping, audit support, VAT services, and financial compliance solutions to businesses across the region, with over 60 plus people and presence in 3 different regions.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Generate management reports, and dashboards to support decision‑making.
- Ensure all financial reports are accurate, timely, and prepared using designated accounting software.
- Accounting Operations
- Record and post journal entries, adjustments, and accruals in software such as Zoho Books, Tally ERP, QuickBooks, and/or Odoo.
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and fixed‑asset registers.
- Handle month‑end and year‑end closing procedures efficiently.
- Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare and file VAT returns accurately and within statutory deadlines.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting regulations to ensure full compliance.
- Assist in coordinating with internal auditors and tax advisors as needed.
- Reconciliation & Control
- Perform and review bank reconciliations and inter‑account reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Team Supervision & Development
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
- Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high‑performance work environment.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline
- Accounting processes and enhance system utilization.
- Develop and update accounting manuals, workflows, and SOPs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA Finalist / CA Inter / ACCA part‑qualified highly preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record in an accounting firm or corporate finance department is advantageous.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); advanced Excel skills are a plus.
- Working knowledge of accounting software: Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally ERP, Odoo, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), and UAE VAT regulations.

- Confident, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
