Team Lead – AR Operations

We are hiring a Team Lead – AR Operations & Billing to manage end-to-end delivery of a high-volume, SLA-driven Accounts Receivable function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end AR and billing operations across all workstreams, ensuring timely execution of the full billing cycle.
  • Ensure compliance with strict SLA timelines, including draft creation within defined cycle time, approvals, and issuance deadlines.
  • Supervise and manage billing, reconciliation, and quality control functions within the team.
  • Ensure accurate processing of invoices using MSAs, POs, rate tables, and contract terms across Lump Sum, Unit Rate, Direct Rent, and T&M (three-way match) billing.
  • Oversee usage of ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics or similar) and customer billing portals for end-to-end invoice processing.
  • Ensure strong pre-issuance quality control, including validation of billing packets, approvals, US tax compliance, and supporting documentation.
  • Manage customer disputes, credit/debit memos, and invoice rejections, ensuring proper documentation and approval traceability.
  • Perform and review root-cause analysis of billing errors and maintain exception trend reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. sales tax exemption requirements (where applicable) and overall billing policies and controls.
  • Prepare and monitor AR aging reports, KPIs, and billing performance dashboards.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable / Billing / O2C operations.
  • Minimum 3+ years in a team leadership role (6+ members preferred).
  • Strong understanding of project-based billing (LS, Unit Rate, Direct Rent, T&M three-way match).
  • Experience in utility, energy, telecom, or industrial billing environments (e.g., KE, Fulcrum, EPC, outsourcing AR setups).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of billing portals and high-volume invoice processing.
  • Good understanding of U.S. sales tax exemption and return processes (if applicable exposure).
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Additional Information:

This is a Night Shift position. Only candidates willing to work in night shift will be shortlisted.
