We are looking for a highly creative and strategic Team Lead – Content to lead our content department. The ideal candidate will manage a team of writers, ensure high-quality content production, and align content strategies with business goals.
This role requires strong leadership, editing expertise, and a deep understanding of digital marketing, SEO, and brand storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of content writers and editors.
- Assign tasks and manage workload effectively.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure deadlines and KPIs are consistently met.
Content Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute content strategies aligned with marketing goals.
- Plan monthly content calendars for social media, blogs, website, and campaigns.
- Collaborate with SEO, social media, and Paid Marketing teams.
Content Creation & Editing
- Review, edit, and proofread content to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality.
- Ensure brand voice consistency across all platforms.
- Oversee production of:
- Website content
- Blog articles
- LinkedIn thought leadership posts
- Email marketing campaigns
- Ad copies (Meta, Google, YouTube)
- Product storytelling for B2B marketplace
SEO & Performance Optimization
- Ensure SEO best practices are implemented.
- Analyze content performance metrics and optimize accordingly.
- Improve engagement, traffic, and conversion rates.
Quality Control
- Maintain high editorial standards.
- Ensure content is plagiarism-free and aligned with company guidelines.
- Implement content review SOPs and workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in content writing/editing.
- 1–2 years of team leadership experience.
- Strong command of English (especially for US audience).
- Expertise in SEO content writing.
- Experience in B2B marketplace content (preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a Digital Marketing Agency.
- Familiarity with platforms like WordPress, Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
- Experience in short-form video scripts (Reels, Shorts, TikTok).
- Understanding of US buyer psychology and B2B sales funnel.
