Overview:
Overall management of Electrical and Instrumentation equipment in Packaging & ASRS area to ensure high reliability, production compliance, and optimal operational efficiency, in collaboration with electrical and instrumentation technicians across all shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end execution of the E&I maintenance strategy for Packaging, ASRS, and associated plant utilities at the Sundar plant.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the master E&I preventive and predictive maintenance plans in line with engineering standards and production schedules.
- Coordinate with OEMs to obtain remote technical support and permanently eliminate chronic equipment issues.
- Administer system access controls by adding, modifying, or removing user access based on approved service tickets.
- Ensure proper installation, configuration, and readiness of Systore software on user laptops.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership to artisans for rapid resolution of critical and complex breakdowns.
- Lead capability development and succession planning through structured training and internal talent pipeline for E&I teams.
- Develop and enforce SOPs for calibration, safety, and compliance of all E&I equipment across the plant.
- Establish and manage a critical spares strategy to ensure high availability and inventory optimization.
- Drive and expand the spares repair and reuse program to reduce cost and improve part lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to align and execute integrated maintenance strategies.
- Support implementation and compliance of AIB standards within the E&I function.
- Proactively identify process improvement opportunities with production teams to improve reliability, efficiency, and cost performance.
People Management
- Lead and manage E&I technicians with a strong focus on discipline, safety compliance, PPE usage, leave planning, and optimal workforce utilization.
- Ensure effective administration and governance, including accurate timesheets, adherence to standard procedures, effective use of maintenance management systems, regular safety inspections, and full compliance with OHS policies.
Cost Control
- Ensure all day-to-day maintenance activities are executed within the approved budget.
- Enforce strong spares and cost governance, ensuring all store-issued materials and maintenance work are tracked, justified, and aligned with cost control objectives.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Downtime (DT) of Packaging and ASRS systems
- Budget and Latest Estimate (LE) compliance
- Productivity improvement through efficient resource utilization
- RCA completion and closure of corrective and preventive actions
- Reliability of standby and backup E&I systems across the plant
- Compliance with Safety, Quality, and Food Safety standards
Qualifications:
- DAE (Electronics/Instrumentation) with 8–10 years of experience in a multitasking, FMCG environment
OR
- B-Tech (Electronics/Instrumentation) with 7–8 years of relevant FMCG experience
OR
- BE (Electronics/Instrumentation) with 3–5 years of relevant FMCG experience
