esponsibilities P

roject and Technical Delivery L

  • ead the production of coordinated designs through all design stages T
  • ake a strategic lead role on large multi-disciplinary projects as well as providing bespoke design solutions to niche and architectural led concept designs M
  • anage the interfaces of the MEP design with the wider multidisciplinary project teams S
  • upport the development and delivery of training and awareness sessions C
  • ontinual and early communication of progress and issues with wider project team (e.g. EWN, etc) F
  • amiliarisation with project relevant standards (Eurocodes, etc) O
  • wn and effectively manage scope delivery to budget and programme F
  • orm strong working relationships with other WSP disciplines, external design consultants, stakeholders and clients S
  • upport production of proposals and project mobilisation and delivery strategies P
  • rovide leadership and guidance in the successful delivery of projects, ensuring client satisfaction U
  • ndertake management reporting and communicate to own team, project teams and leadership teams M
  • anage project risk P

  • trong experience working on metro schemes and station design A
  • proven track record of successful design delivery, in particular taking designs from concept/preliminary stage to tender/reference design, to support Clients’ procurement of Contractors T
  • he ability to make a difference, pro-actively manage requirements and risks and influence others to deliver successfully E
  • xcellent inter-personal skills, with good leadership capable of communicating effectively with other members of the project team, stakeholders & Clients P
  • referred Chartered status with a relevant globally recognised professional institution S
  • ignificant experience of team management responsibilities including line management and day-to-day operations E
  • xperience of operating as a lead client contact for consultancy services and the fostering of excellent relationships with Clients and co-professionals

echnical Experience (e.g. Areas, Software) E

  • xtensive international experience in leading, producing, checking and coordinating MEP designs through the entire design and construction cycle for projects A
  • bility to lead teams to produce high quality coordinated design solutions T
  • echnical Focus on the delivery of the technical design reports, drawings and specifications to the required regulations and quality standards D
  • evelop the technical capabilities of direct reports P
  • rovide technical solutions on projects G
  • ood knowledge of H&S legislation, Safe by Design principles and Railway safety P
  • rovide support and guidance to Technical Working Group (TWG) K
  • eep up to date with industry developments with respect to own discipline and understand and appreciate the basic technical principles and drivers of other disciplines A
  • strong fundamental understanding of all aspects of Metro MEP systems (HVAC, LV power supplies, substations, internal plumbing, utilities, etc) E
  • xperienced in discipline and industry specific software
