Role Objective
:
The job holder will represent the Bank’s IT Applications section and is responsible for understanding and agreeing project objectives and organization interests. The Job holder provides advice on the management of projects and organizing the various professional people working on a project by carrying out risk assessment and making sure that all the aims of the project are met and ensures to meet quality standards set by the PMO and the organization. The job holder will liaise with project specialists and sub-contractors and monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained, and also responsible for overseeing the accounting, costing and billing of the project assigned to him by using IT systems to keep track of project team and project progress.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Strategic

Accelerate the delivery and time to market of new products/projects for the Bank through rigorous project management skills.

Ensure any introduced change (through a project) is future-proofed to meet the vision of the organization, is prioritized and guide the business users through the Change process.

Have a good understanding of banking organization and be able to suggest long term and short-term solutions.

Be responsible for defining/adhering to project budgets and ensuring that they are well managed for the accountable budget holder.
Operational
-
Primary responsibilities involve understanding what needs to be achieved in the project. Support business analysts in business analysis / reviews for departments as requested.

Liaise with various stakeholders in order to ascertain the overall objectives of the project. Furthermore, employ the services of expert business analysts, who will get to the real crux of the problem and identify the nitty-gritty aspects of what the project should achieve.

Once they’ve established the detailed project goals, the project manager will draw up extensive project plans, schedules and deadlines for each individual stage of the project.

Oversee all aspects of the projects, including but not limited to hiring and managing project team members of their project team, liaising with potential suppliers and getting involved with the direct man-management side of things, too.

Monitor the costs and progress of the project, ultimate aim is to complete the project on time and within budget.

Lead the business planning process, managing dependencies across the work streams and the consolidation of activity (as appropriate).
Qualification/Experience Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree or in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline from a recognized university.

Master’s degree in Management any other related discipline from a recognized university.
-
10-15 years of total experience in financial services/banking industry, entailing responsibilities pertaining to the specific area of discipline.

Prior experience in a technical supervisory/managerial position entailing responsibilities of managing business applications, pertaining to the domain.

Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering development projects and in defining and optimizing business processes.

Working knowledge of popular EPM tool, with extensive knowledge in MPP

Understanding of Retail and Wholesale banking operations

Understanding of FX Products & Operations

Understanding of Money Markets Operations

Understanding of Treasury & Investment Products Operations
-
Strong understanding of source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments

Understanding of user interface design and prototyping

Understanding of systems analysis, and design

Ability to drive tactical planning to anticipate business requirements and to conceptualize business needs

MIS reports development for management and business users
Certifications
-
PMP or CBAP or any other Industry certified technical qualification in related area is mandatory
