Team Lead, Revenue Cycle - CCP

UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Team Lead, Revenue Cycle to support the office in a remote role.

Medical front desk experience preferred.

Purpose:
Under minimal supervision, this position will serve as a resource for billing office staff in areas including, but not limited to, coding, charge entry, payor guidelines, payment posting and collections. This position will also function to assist supervisory staff in areas of workflow and day-to-day operations throughout the Billing Office.

Responsibilities:

Support and step in for the Supervisor to maintain efficient workflow.
Assist staff with daily questions, issues, and problem-solving.
Participate in interviewing, onboarding, and training employees.
Maintain and deliver training materials for new and current staff.
Monitor trends in payments, denials, charges, and cash posting.
Stay current on billing processes and collaborate with department leads.
Conduct meetings and communicate key updates as needed.
Protect confidentiality of patient and employee information.
Perform essential billing office duties and follow organizational policies.
Complete required annual Compliance and HIPAA training.

HS/Equivalent and 4 years experience in a healthcare setting with specific experience in business functions such as registration, charge entry, payment posting, and collections OR equivalent combination of education and experience required
Knowledge of medical terminology, third party payer guidelines and reimbursement practices, and available financial resources for payment of balances due.
Effective problem-solving skills required.
Must be able to meet departmental goals on an ongoing basis.
Experience with a billing system is required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Act 34 with renewal
