Team Leader - Compliance Inspection (UAE National)
Role Summary: Leads the member inspections function for DMCC Free Zone. Responsible for the implementation of the regulatory framework for member company inspections. Oversees inspections team to ensure proper implementation of the compliance strategy and policy of DMCCA, DMCC and DMCC Free Zone as applicable to the scope of inspections responsibilities. Primary contact with Member Success representatives and senior managers in business units on all member inspections issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Director Compliance Operations in designing, developing and implementing Revised Inspections Framework that incorporates DMCCA/DMCC relevant roles and regulations local and international law and best practices (as applicable).
- Assist Senior Director Compliance Operations in developing and implementing arrangements that include effective dual-regulation of specialist sectors such as HSE, security and facilities management issues.
- Assist Senior Director Compliance Operations in developing and implementing strategic initiatives and projects for compliance inspections and outreach that support DMCCA strategy to deliver balanced regulation and transparency and enable business compliance.
- Responsible for administering revised inspections program for member companies including development of guidance notes and information for member companies.
- Assist Senior Director Compliance Operations in ensuring identification, implementation and updating of end-to-end processes and procedures for effective member inspections and outreach.
- Assist Senior Director Compliance Operations in updating and maintaining operational procedures and processes to ensure efficiency, transparency and accuracy in inspections operations.
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate team preparation, inspection conduct and reporting of inspection findings, including issuance of fines, notices and closure.
- Administering systematic approach to manage notifications and responses of member companies and rescheduling of inspections.
- Produce periodic (and ad-hoc) statistics and reports highlighting performance status.
- Oversee appropriate conduct is followed by inspections team and DMCCA policies, processes and protocols are followed.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or diploma in related field.
- Minimum 4-year experience in inspections, customer care, customer service or related function within organizations and businesses. Experienced in implementing rules, regulations and policies in various sectors.
- Minimum 3-year experience in liaising and dealing with government organizations.
