Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical & AI Design Authority to join our Group ICT leadership team. This strategic role is responsible for defining, governing, and evolving enterprise-wide technology architecture across a multi-company group, while also overseeing the responsible adoption and governance of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

This position bridges business strategy, enterprise architecture, and emerging AI capabilities to ensure our technology landscape is secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned with long-term organisational goals.

This is a governance and enablement role, not a hands-on AI development position.
This position is located in London, and the selected candidate will be required to travel to London.

Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Architecture & Technical Design Authority

• Own and maintain current-state and target enterprise architecture across business, application, data, infrastructure, and security domains
• Develop and communicate a 3–5 year technology roadmap with the Group ICT Director
• Define architectural principles, standards, patterns, and reference models
• Review and approve major system designs and technology initiatives
• Document architectural decisions and maintain decision logs
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements (e.g. GDPR)
• Align IT strategies across group companies and resolve architectural dependencies
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
• Mentor and guide technical teams across the organisation

AI Governance, Moderation & Innovation

• Support and enforce the group’s AI governance framework and policies
• Review and moderate proposed AI use cases across the business
• Guide teams towards approved AI platforms, tools, and vendors
• Maintain a registry of approved AI use cases and solutions
• Define AI security controls, risk assessments, and compliance standards
• Ensure AI solutions are explainable, auditable, and compliant
• Promote responsible and strategic AI adoption across ICT and business functions

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a seasoned enterprise architect with strong governance experience in complex, multi-company environments. You will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a pragmatic approach to balancing innovation with risk.

You will be comfortable challenging misaligned initiatives and advocating for long-term architectural health, while also enabling teams to make better technical decisions.

Essential Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in enterprise architecture at group or multi-company level
• Strong background in IT governance, standards, and design authority roles
• Experience working within matrix or federated organisations
• Broad understanding of modern IT architecture (cloud, data, security, APIs)
• Proven ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to AI, generative AI, or ML in a governance or architectural context
• Knowledge of AI risk, compliance, and regulatory considerations
• Experience in digital transformation or cloud migration programmes
• Multi-country or multi-sector experience

Technical Skills

• TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent enterprise architecture frameworks
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid architectures
• Data platforms, data governance, and analytics
• Basic understanding of AI/ML pipelines and MLOps
• Security architecture (Zero Trust, IAM, encryption)
• Awareness of emerging technologies and vendor landscapes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs1,250,000.00 - Rs1,550,000.00 per month
