Technical Aide

Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

1. The candidate will manage the instrument and computer as well as data storage and backup.

2. The candidate will work with students in the lab to schedule meetings and ordering chemicals and

consumables to support research.

3. The candidate will do some research in the area of top-down proteomics and native proteomics using

advanced capillary electrophoresis mass spectrometry techniques.

Desired Qualifications

PhD in ___Analytical chemistry __and any research experience in proteomics, capillary electrophoresis mass spectrometry, and top-down proteomics.
