Job Title: Technical Business Analyst – Mutual Fund / Asset Management Domain

Location: Mumbai, India

Experience Required: 4-12 yr

Salary : 7 to 12 lpa ( depending upon interview performance and experience )

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Technical Business Analysts with a strong background in the financial services domain, specifically Mutual Funds and Asset Management. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in business process analysis, requirement gathering, and technical solution design across both on-premises and cloud-based environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for mutual fund operations, including:
  • New Fund Offerings (NFOs)
  • Daily Accounting and Valuation
  • Client Onboarding and KYC processes
  • Regulatory and Compliance reporting
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for development and testing teams.
  • Work closely with technical teams to design and implement scalable solutions across cloud and on-prem infrastructures.
  • Support integration of fund accounting, portfolio management, and data management systems.
  • Participate in system testing, UAT, and validation of delivered solutions.
  • Act as a bridge between business and technology teams ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Create and maintain process flow diagrams, data mapping documents, and system documentation.
  • Support ongoing improvements and automation initiatives within the asset management domain.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4 to 12 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with progression from functional to techno-functional roles.
  • Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of Mutual Fund operations, including:
  • Fund Setup and NFO lifecycle
  • NAV computation and daily accounting
  • Investor servicing and client onboarding
  • Regulatory and compliance reporting (SEBI, AMFI, etc.)
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Experience in cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premise solution environments.
  • Exposure to data analysis, SQL, ETL tools, and API-based integrations.
  • Understanding of system architectures in asset management technology stacks.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage end-to-end project delivery in an agile or hybrid environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Experience with Asset Management platforms (e.g., BlackRock Aladdin, Charles River, Temenos, Calypso, Investran, etc.).
  • Knowledge of financial data standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Certifications: CBAP, CFA (Level 1+), or relevant domain/technical certifications.
