Job Title: Technical Business Analyst – Mutual Fund / Asset Management Domain
Location: Mumbai, India
Experience Required: 4-12 yr
Salary : 7 to 12 lpa ( depending upon interview performance and experience )
About the Role:
We are seeking experienced Technical Business Analysts with a strong background in the financial services domain, specifically Mutual Funds and Asset Management. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in business process analysis, requirement gathering, and technical solution design across both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for mutual fund operations, including:
- New Fund Offerings (NFOs)
- Daily Accounting and Valuation
- Client Onboarding and KYC processes
- Regulatory and Compliance reporting
- Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for development and testing teams.
- Work closely with technical teams to design and implement scalable solutions across cloud and on-prem infrastructures.
- Support integration of fund accounting, portfolio management, and data management systems.
- Participate in system testing, UAT, and validation of delivered solutions.
- Act as a bridge between business and technology teams ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Create and maintain process flow diagrams, data mapping documents, and system documentation.
- Support ongoing improvements and automation initiatives within the asset management domain.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4 to 12 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with progression from functional to techno-functional roles.
- Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of Mutual Fund operations, including:
- Fund Setup and NFO lifecycle
- NAV computation and daily accounting
- Investor servicing and client onboarding
- Regulatory and compliance reporting (SEBI, AMFI, etc.)
- Technical Expertise:
- Experience in cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premise solution environments.
- Exposure to data analysis, SQL, ETL tools, and API-based integrations.
- Understanding of system architectures in asset management technology stacks.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage end-to-end project delivery in an agile or hybrid environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Experience with Asset Management platforms (e.g., BlackRock Aladdin, Charles River, Temenos, Calypso, Investran, etc.).
- Knowledge of financial data standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Certifications: CBAP, CFA (Level 1+), or relevant domain/technical certifications.
