We are looking for a Technical Buyer to join our Global Procurement (GP) team in Wyandotte, MI.

Where the chemistry happens...

Global Indirect Procurement (GPI) is responsible for purchasing technical goods and services for BASF Group. We understand the business needs, are close to our stakeholders, drive cost savings, innovation and sustainable practices by negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.

As a Technical Buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely procurement of materials and services required for operations. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support production needs and maintain cost efficiency.

As a Technical Buyer, you create chemistry by...

• Managing procurement activities for technical goods and services.
• Collaborating with internal departments to understand material requirements.
• Negotiating with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Monitoring supplier performance and maintaining strong relationships.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in the supply chain.

• Bring experience in technical procurement or supply chain management.
• Demonstrate strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Understand procurement systems and ERP tools.
