Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technical Content Writer with an engineering background (Mechanical) to join our team. The role involves maintaining the ERP Database Management along with creation and maintenance of parts.
ERP Database Management:
- Make engineering change order updates to ERP Systems and tracking details in SharePoint.
- Updating BOM (Bill of Material) in ERP Software.
- Create new part or update old part numbers in BOM for Sales and Production Orders Lines.
- Work Order Updates for old parts/information.
- Mark Obsolete parts with zero inventory and define product location for new parts.
- Update Quantity, Unit of Measurement, Part Composition, Bill of Material in work order and Sales Orders etc.
- Running Configuration Checks for Furniture products.
- Work with Engineering team to ensure data fields are 100% accurate.
- Analyze content for capturing relevant information and identify potential queries.
- Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the engineering product and service requirements.
- Communicate complex ideas in a concise manner.
Skill Sets required:
- B.E./B.TECH in Mechanical Engineering only
- Understand and explain complex technical concepts.
- Ability to undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel/Word (must) or Google Docs
- Excel shortcuts, formulas etc. knowledge will be preferred.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented.
