Technical Coordinator (Construction PMC)

Position Objective:

To lead, oversee and manage the flow of technical submissions between designers, contractors, consultants and PMC office, ensuring effective document control, monitoring, status tracking, and ensuring compliance with project document management procedures. The technical controller will be responsible for governance compliance to ensure projects are delivered successfully within approved timelines and flag risks and expected failures ahead of time for corrective action.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and track different technical submissions such as but not limited to detailed design, IFC, shop drawings, MARs, test reports and technical queries
  • Maintain and control different correspondence documents such as but not limited to In/Out correspondence, review/response comments, technical reports, meetings MOM and overall project documentation
  • Coordinate between different disciplines (technical management, design reviewers, BMS expert and BIM engineer)
  • Coordinate with execution teams to develop integrated project schedules covering site acquisition, design, permitting, procurement, construction, and handover phases.
  • Monitor and track technical items progress against approved baselines and key milestones
  • Compile review comments into consolidated review reports and maintain submission registers and review logs
  • Verify consistency of review comments before issuance
  • Prepare technical review dashboards and status reports
  • Organize and coordinate technical meetings and workshops an issue related MOMs
  • Prepare and distribute regular status reports including progress updates, milestones achieved, risks, and corrective actions
  • Provide executive dashboards and performance summaries to the technical manager and PMO
  • Act as the primary communication focal point on behalf of the technical team
  • Address stakeholder inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain accurate and auditable project documentation including schedules, financial records, change orders, approvals, and performance reports
  • Ensure project data is properly recorded, archived, and available for future reference

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a university or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years telecommunication experiences
  • Proven experience in technical coordination, document control, and multidisciplinary management
  • Proven experience in working with engineering consultants or PMC organizations
  • Strong understanding of design review workflows, technical submission processes and document control procedures
  • Mandatory knowledge of Engineering project lifecycle and construction project administration
  • Ability to understand technical terminology and coordinate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Proficient in MS (Excel (Advanced), Word and PowerPoint), MS Outlook and MS Teams
  • Knowledge of Document Management Systems (such as ACC & Aconex) is a PLUS
  • Knowledge of dashboard applications (such as Power BI) is a PLUS
