Partner with TMG Global as a Contract Technical Delivery Consultant in Houston, TX, for an exciting 3-month project that offers a dynamic, onsite work environment! In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in IT deployment, managing hardware installation and technical rollout while collaborating with a team of innovative problem solvers. This position is perfect for those who thrive in a professional atmosphere and seek the satisfaction of overseeing network deployment and VLAN setup in real-world settings. The pay ranges from $30 to $35 per hour, making it a lucrative opportunity for experienced field technicians and specialists in IT infrastructure. You'll contribute directly to impactful projects that enhance operational efficiencies while ensuring safety and excellence at every juncture.
To thrive as a Contract Technical Delivery Consultant at TMG Global, candidates should possess a solid foundation with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, with certifications being a considerable plus. A minimum of 2 years of experience in technical deployments, site surveys, or IT fieldwork is essential. Familiarity with IT infrastructure, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and experience with project management methodologies will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Ideal candidates will also demonstrate the ability to use a laptop to console into network switches, showcasing understanding of VLANs, IP addressing, and CCNA-level concepts. Strong organizational and communication skills are crucial, along with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
As deployments and site surveys will occur at a Houston area, having a reliable vehicle is necessary. On-site availability is required Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a projected start date of Monday, November 17.
Responsibilities:
Accept and organize deliveries in the warehouse
Oversee and assist with hardware deployments and system installations
Conduct site surveys for power, cabling, and layout readiness
Document work progress and maintain deployment logs
Lift and move equipment weighing 50+ lbs as needed
Collaborate remotely with project managers and field teams
Requirements:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (certifications a plus)
2+ years of experience in technical deployments, site surveys, or IT field work
Familiarity with IT infrastructure, Microsoft Office (EXCEL) and project management methodologies
Experience using a laptop to console into network switches; knowledge of VLANs, IP addressing, and CCNA-level concepts
Must provide your own laptop and have a reliable vehicle
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Deployments and site surveys will be at a Houston Location
On-site availability Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
