Role Overview

We are seeking a highly accomplished Technical Design Manager – Aluminum & Façade to lead and manage our technical design function across major construction projects in the UAE. This strategic leadership role demands an industry expert with deep technical knowledge, proven team leadership, and the ability to deliver innovative, compliant, and cost-effective façade solutions from concept design through fabrication, installation, and project completion.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Leadership & Governance

• Lead, mentor, and manage the façade design and engineering team, ensuring technically accurate, high-quality outputs across all project stages.
• Establish and enforce design standards, workflows, and quality control procedures within the department.

Technical Oversight

• Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of façade design drawings, engineering calculations, system details, and technical specifications.
• Review, approve, and sign off on shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, mock-up documentation, and all technical deliverables.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate closely with architects, structural consultants, project managers, and clients to develop optimized, buildable façade systems.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and represent the organization on all technical façade matters.

Project Execution Support

• Provide expert technical guidance throughout procurement, fabrication, testing, installation, and commissioning stages.
• Resolve complex design, engineering, and site-related technical issues to maintain project alignment.

Value Engineering & Innovation

• Lead value engineering initiatives, risk assessments, and system optimization to improve performance, constructability, and cost efficiency.
• Stay updated on emerging façade technologies, materials, design trends, and industry advancements.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure all designs comply with UAE authority regulations and relevant international standards (Dubai Municipality, DCD, ASTM, EN, BS, etc.).
• Ensure design deliverables meet project schedules, quality benchmarks, safety requirements, and contractual obligations.

Tender & Pre-Contract Support

• Support tendering and business development teams with technical input, system selection, BOQs, preliminary designs, and feasibility studies when required.

Qualifications & ExperienceEducation

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in aluminum and façade design and execution for large-scale commercial, residential, mixed-use, and landmark projects within the UAE/GCC.
• Extensive experience with aluminum façade systems, curtain walls, structural glazing, cladding, skylights, and specialty façade systems.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and façade engineering/analysis software (structural, thermal, wind, and performance analysis).
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, testing requirements, and installation methodologies.

• Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary design teams.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and risk management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
