Technical Designer

Overview
LGM Design Group is a commercial food service planning and design firm serving clients across the hospitality industry. We design commercial kitchens and bars for restaurants, hotels & resorts, theme parks, and more. We are seeking a skilled Technical Designer to join our dynamic team for this full-time, remote position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed construction drawings that support the Construction Documentation phase of our design projects. This role requires proficiency in Revit. The Technical Designer will work closely with our senior designers and project managers to ensure that all designs meet project specifications and company standards.

Duties

• Develop and produce detailed construction drawings, schematics, and models using Revit.
• Collaborate with designers to understand project requirements and translate them into accurate technical and rough-in drawings.
• Create section details and elevations to assist in project presentations.
• Review and revise designs based on feedback from team members or clients to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain organized documentation of all drafts, revisions, and related project materials.
• Review equipment submittals for adherence to design specifications.
• Assist in the build process by providing necessary drawings and support materials for construction teams.

Experience

• Proficiency in Revit software is required.
• Previous experience in drafting or design roles.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work and meet project deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members across various departments.
• A solid understanding of food service design principles and fabrication methods is advantageous.
