About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and highly accomplished Technical Director to lead the technical operations of our growing portfolio of prestigious client properties and related assets. This is a key leadership role, responsible for maintaining the highest standards in facility management, infrastructure, and technical operations with a strong emphasis on operational excellence and exceptional client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will bring a robust technical background in hospitality or luxury environments and demonstrate a proven ability to manage complex systems and premium assets. Hands-on experience in high-quality construction projects, particularly in pre-opening phases of luxury Hospitality /Properties or estates, is highly desirable. You will be responsible for optimizing performance, managing high-level service providers, and ensuring the seamless operation of private residential estates and other luxury properties.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Oversight: Review and manage the performance of service providers overseeing technical operations (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, building management systems), ensuring compliance with international best practices.

Maintenance Strategy: Develop and review preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and performance of the portfolio and client facilities.

Facility Operations: Oversee the proper functioning and maintenance of VIP assets, including private residences, staff areas, and outdoor spaces.

Budget Management: Manage budgets for capital projects and routine maintenance, ensuring efficient resource use while maintaining high-quality standards.

Vendor and Contractor Management: Manage relationships with service providers, contractors, and vendors to ensure SLAs are met and operational efficiency is achieved.

Project Management: Oversee the delivery of major technical upgrades, renovations, and repairs, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental laws, and industry standards.

Sustainability Initiatives: Drive sustainability initiatives to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

Team Leadership: Lead and support service providers to implement high-performing technical teams, ensuring continuous training and development.

Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments to align technical solutions with overall goals, enhancing guest experiences.

Troubleshooting & Support: Provide ongoing technical support, addressing issues promptly to minimize disruptions.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction, or Project Management.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in technical services for hospitality, High profile facilities and asset management, or the construction industry.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the GCC in real estate/portfolio/asset management roles.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong background in engineering discipline and facility systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), project management software (Microsoft Project, Primavera).
  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in asset and portfolio management, investment analysis, and project management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and maintain high standards of transparency and integrity.
