Technical Discovery Specialist

Overview

Yo Marketing Agency is seeking a Technical Discovery Specialist to act as the primary interface between our clients and our development teams.

In this role, you aren’t writing code; you are translating business needs into technical clarity. You will lead initial project discovery sessions, ensuring that our engineers have the precise information they need to build high-impact software. This is a long-term, flexible, part-time position perfect for someone who excels at high-level communication and understands the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Discovery Sessions: Conduct video interviews with prospective clients to unpack their goals, pain points, and project vision.
• Requirements Translation: Distill complex client conversations into structured, actionable project requirements for our technical team.
• Strategic Feedback: Offer concise summaries and structured feedback to our internal team following every meeting to keep projects moving forward.
• Availability: Manage your own scheduling to align with US-based client time zones.

Workload & Compensation

• Time Commitment: Approximately 4–5 hours per week (fluctuating based on project volume).
• Flexibility: Set your own schedule within standard US business hours.
• Focus: 100% communication and strategy; no hands-on development required.

What We’re Looking For

• Location: You must be physically located in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.
• Communication Mastery: You are a native or fluent English speaker with the ability to lead professional discovery discussions.
• Technical Literacy: While you don’t need to code, you must be comfortable discussing software workflows (e.g., frontend/backend, APIs, or project lifecycles).
• Reliability: You are proactive, organized, and capable of managing your own calendar independently.
• Agency Experience (Plus): Familiarity with freelance ecosystems or managing requirements for external clients is a significant advantage.
