Technical Drawing Draftsman (Events & Exhibition Industry Only)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Drawing Draftsman to prepare accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings and shop drawings for events, exhibitions, and corporate activation projects. The role involves close coordination with design, production, and site teams to convert creative concepts into executable technical drawings while ensuring compliance with client requirements, venue regulations, and operational standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Drawing & Documentation

• Prepare precise 2D and 3D technical drawings, layouts, and shop drawings
• Develop fabrication, construction, installation, and as-built drawings
• Revise drawings based on client, management, or site feedback
• Ensure compliance with client briefs, venue guidelines, and technical standards

Design & Project Support

• Support designers and project teams with technical drafting requirements
• Translate creative concepts into workable technical drawings
• Assist with material detailing, dimensions, and specifications
• Support value engineering and design optimization when required

Coordination & Site Support

• Coordinate with Operations, Production, Procurement, and Installation teams
• Attend coordination meetings when required
• Provide drawing clarifications to site and production teams
• Support urgent site-based drawing revisions and modifications

Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure drawings meet quality, safety, and venue compliance standards
• Follow company drafting standards and templates
• Maintain accuracy in measurements and technical specifications

Document Control

• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and approvals
• Ensure proper file naming, version control, and archiving
• Submit drawings on time as per project schedules

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong technical drafting and detailing skills
• AutoCAD proficiency (mandatory)
• 3D software knowledge (SketchUp / 3ds Max preferred)
• Understanding of materials, fabrication, and installation methods
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and coordination skills
