Job summary
As an Electrical Technical Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and support for electrical systems, equipment, and projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and improvement of electrical systems, as well as troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing projects, and implementing electrical solutions to meet business objectives.
Role and Responsibilities
- Electrical System Support: Provide technical assistance and support for electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, motors, control panels, and related equipment.
- Project Management: Lead or contribute to electrical engineering projects, including design, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and operating procedures.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, technicians, and contractors.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, codes, and standards.
- Energy Efficiency and Optimization: Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and cost savings in electrical systems.
- Recommend and implement measures such as energy-efficient lighting, power factor correction, and load management strategies.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to maintenance personnel and end-users on electrical system operation, troubleshooting techniques, and safety procedures.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of advancements in electrical engineering, emerging technologies, and industry best practices. Make recommendations for technology adoption and process improvements.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's/master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Professional engineering license and relevant certifications (e.g., NETA, PMP) are a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Proven experience as an Electrical Technical Engineer or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and codes/regulations.
- Experience in electrical project management, including design, installation, and commissioning.
