About Your Team

Our team is dedicated to delivering precision and clarity in every stage of the tendering process. We collaborate closely with technical experts, Heads of Departments, and the Estimating Team to ensure accurate P&G pricing and comprehensive document reviews. By identifying risks, optimizing methodologies, and aligning procurement strategies, we play a critical role in shaping successful project outcomes and maintaining the highest standards of cost planning.


Your Role

As a Technical Estimator, you will

  • Verify the completeness of tender documents, report to Estimating Engineer about missing documents, if any.
  • Review/study the tender documents and send Request for proposal to subcontractors and suppliers
  • Liaise with internal Measurement Team for any quantity adjustments
  • Liaise with internal Procurement Team for obtaining market quotations
  • Assist in the review, analyzation and comparison of quotations received from suppliers/subcontractors
  • Prepare and discuss tender deviations for submission

P&G Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand the Instructions to Tenderers, drawings, specifications, scope of works, client requirements and project requirements.
  • Reviews documents, including the specifications, BOQ, addendum and PTC at the Tender stage, in line with the agreed timelines.
  • Coordinates with the Estimator for the project cost, CCS manhours, etc., at the Tender stage, in line with the agreed timelines.
  • Coordinates with the packages managers at the Tender stage, in line with the agreed timelines.
  • Coordinates with the Heads of Departments (Commercial, MEP, Planning, CRM, QA/QC, Design & BIM, Operations, Surveying, Authorities, FMD) for the review of documents and P&G pricing and review
  • Coordinates with the external companies, including the Supplier, Subcontractors and Consultants, at the Tender stage, in line with the agreed timelines.
  • Prepares the Technical Submission requirements, i.e. the organogram, etc., at the Tender stage, in line with the agreed timelines.
  • Links the preliminary BOQ with the P&G estimate at the Tender stage, per the agreed schedule.
  • Updates the Tender schedule for Technical, as required.
  • Prepares the method statement, CV and other technical requirements in IN-Design format for each Tender project, as per the Tender requirement.
  • Coordinates with the Package Managers, Department Heads and Bid Leaders to gather all the submission requirements, within the agreed timelines.
  • Coordinates with other departments, Commercial, MEP, Planning, CRM, QA/QC, Design & BIM, Operations, Surveying, Authorities, FMD, for the review of documents, P&G pricing and review, and technical submissions, at the Tender stage, in line with the agreed
  • Prepares enquiry and cost estimates for dewatering, shoring, and client requirements as per agreed timeline
  • Populates and completes the P&G estimate


What We’re Looking For

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or certification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Technical Requirements

  • Understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes for building projects
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of first principles estimating (Labour, Plant, Materials)
  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with estimation software (ideally CCS Candy)

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in building construction estimation
  • Experience on large projects ($1Bn+) is an advantage
