Technical Event Production Manager

Technical Event Production Manager will oversee the design, planning, and execution of high-profile events, managing AV, lighting, staging, scenic, and rigging logistics from concept to on-site delivery. They ensure compliance with safety regulations, manage budgets, supervise technical crews, and coordinate with vendors to deliver, in luxury or large-scale settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Design & Execution: Create detailed CAD drawings, floor plans, and technical rider requirements for rigging, audio-visual, lighting, and scenic elements.
• Logistics & On-site Management: Oversee load-in, build, show operations, and de-rigging, ensuring seamless technical execution.
• Vendor & Budget Management: Source and negotiate with suppliers, manage procurement, and maintain cost-effective production within budget.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all setups adhere to local UAE health and safety, municipality, and venue regulations.
• Team Leadership: Supervise technical crews, freelancers, and AV technicians to ensure high performance.
• Client Coordination: Liaise with clients to transform creative briefs into technical, actionable production plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in event/exhibition production, specifically within the UAE market.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of AV equipment, lighting, rigging, and staging; experience with 3D design software (e.g., Vectorworks, AutoCAD) is highly preferred.
• Languages: Excellent English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
• Skills: Strong project management, budgeting, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in technical theatre, event management, or a related field is preferable or related experience.

Typical Requirements

• Full-time position, requiring flexible hours, including weekends and nights, to accommodate live events.
• A valid UAE driver's license is often required for site visits
